Hue Ky Mi Gia: Reviews & Ratings
Food: I enjoyed their seafood egg noodles plus wontons. I wish their wontons were made with shrimp bits in it because the fillers were all grounded meat. I think adding in shrimps will make wontons crunchier and tastier. Service: my first time here and I was disappointed a bit with their service. My party sat down before other tables, but no one came to take our order. I had to flag down their employees to get our food ordered. Pretty bad service because they were not attentive at all. Atmosphere: a moderately loud environment, like how one would expect at a Vietnamese restaurant. It is clean and nice interior decor than other Vietnamese restaurants.
Sometimes I have a craving for duck braised in Chinese Herbs Noodles soup. This one is a special duck leg marinated in like Chinese Medicine Herbs, with the darker soup and darker skin. The best place would have a very tender duck leg, not hard and the meat you can taste with the special chinese herbs and the soup and noodles are different from all other soup. Last time I was in OC, my friend introduced me this place and it's the best one I've tasted so far. It was so good that I came twice. My sister like the bbq duck noodles soup which is good too. Since I'm always hungry, I have to ask for the extra noodles for $2. The prices and the services are great, very inexpensive and the service is attentive and quick. My wife also love this duck soup, I'll bring her here next time when we go together.
Delicious and consistently good noodles with super fast service. I love their affordable prices and big portions. Recommend getting their dried egg noodles with roasted duck or seafood. They include a complementary jelly which is a nice touch.
I recently discovered this newly opened noodle spot with a soft opening. On a rainy day, I decided to take my mom there to try their Cantonese noodle soup, which I have always loved since I was a child. We arrived at 10:30 in the morning and were surprised to find the place already packed. After a 15-minute wait, we were finally seated. The waitress was incredibly friendly and informed us that our order might take a while. Although we didn't mind waiting as long as the food was delicious, we noticed many tables around us complaining about the long wait for their food. It seemed like the kitchen was a bit inefficient. After waiting for another 15-20 minutes, our food finally arrived. I was amazed by the quality of the dishes. As a vegetarian, I ordered a bowl of thin rice noodles with veggies and tofu, while my mom ordered egg and rice noodles with a combination of meat and veggies. We both loved the clean and flavorful broth, which wasn't too oily or salty. In addition to the noodle soup, we also ordered Chinese donuts. Overall, it was a fantastic bowl of noodle soup, and I would love to come back and try their other dishes. Hopefully, they will find a more efficient way to run their kitchen next time, or I might have to order takeout to avoid the long wait.

Saturday 1/17/26 Lunch at Hue Ky Mi Gia with my mother, sister, and brother in law. Ordered the braised duck noodle soup. It delicious! Flavorful soup base and great braised duck. Restaurant provided a free Logan jelly desert. The restaurant is brightly lit, clean, with a nice decoration. There are many service staffs who worked quickly to serve customers. On weekends there are lots of customers however due to the many service staffs working quickly you don’t need to wait long for a table. I recommend trying out this restaurant.
